Plaster, Paint sequins, feathers, and beads
The inspiration for my mask was Mardi Gras. To create my mask I first chose a human face mold and I covered it in plaster down to the nose. After the plaster dried I painted half of it purple and half of it green. Then to add detail I added gold paint around the face and the eyes. Once the paint was dry I glued different size sequins at the sides of the eyes. I made an arrangement of feathers and hot glued it to the top of my mask. Finally, I glued gold beads at the base of the feathers. A challenge that I faced while creating my mask was having to do a lot of paint touch ups after I added another color. When I added the gold paint on top I also to had to add many layers so the color would show up. A risk I took was adding the gold sequins, this is because I thought I wouldn't like the way I placed them on the face. But in the end, I liked the placement. My favorite part of my finished project was the colors of paint I made and the feather arrangement. If I could start my mask over one thing I would change is painting the gold before I painted the other colors so it would show up.

Graphite, Paper
The inspiration for my drawing was a summer beach living room. I am so excited for summer so I thought it would be perfect. The first thing I did to create my drawing was to draw two lines going diagonal across the page to make an x. In the middle where the lines cross I found my vanishing point. Next, I connected parts of the lines to make a rectangle in the center of my paper. Then I started adding furniture, wall pictures, windows, lights, and a door. After I finished adding my main furniture I then started to shade and add value. Once my art looked like it had dimensions from shading I went back and added more details and I put objects on the shelf. That completes the process of creating my drawing. While I was drawing I faced an issue with drawing the objects on the shelves. But I used my ruler and vanishing point to make them look three dimensional. A risk I took while drawing was adding a surfboard above the tv. I wasn’t sure about adding it because I didn’t know how it would turn out drawing it in a perspective drawing. My favorite part of my finished project is the couch. I like that looks so real and it curves. If I could go back and change something I would do a better job creating the shells on the shelves.

Clay, Glaze
The inspiration for my clay face was from my imagination. I didn’t have a specific thing I based my mask on. To create my mask I first rolled out the clay to make it thinner. Next, I cut out the shape of the face. I used the outside leftover pieces of clay and cut out the eyes, nose, eyebrows, and mouth. After I cut out all of the pieces I scored and slipped the pieces to stick them onto the face. Once the mask was dry I glazed my mask. Then to finish the mask we fired it. While making my face I had trouble when I was glazing. I had trouble with getting the glaze on the sides of other pieces that had other colors of glaze on them. I took a risk when adding texture to the face. I wasn’t sure which texture I wanted to use, but I chose one and I liked it on the face. I think that the best part of my mask is the color combination. I used all cool tones. If I could start over I would do a better job adding glaze to the face.

String, Yarn
The inspiration for my work wasn’t anything specific. I made up the design. To create this work I first created my loom by adding string to an old weave someone already created. Then I took my needle and weaved blue, peach, green, and gray yarn through the strings. While creating my work I had to be persistent and sometimes unweave something I already did because it would get tangled or knotted. When I created my weaving I wasn't sure If I would like the yarn I chose. I liked the colors and textures together after all. But I actually liked the colors and the size of my waving the most. If I could go back and change one thing it would be the tightness of the first side I did because it looks smaller than the other grey stripe.
