For this painting of my great grandparents I wanted to make it as realistic as I possibly could. As I got halfway through the painting I had gotten a new idea to make it a surreal painting. I started with the suits then worked on the skin and backgroud, after that I began working on shading the piece with muiltiple shades of gray. I wanted the veiwer to see it like a memory they are struggling to fully remember. The most difficult part of hte painting proccess was making the painting feel real. I am really happy with how the piece turned out and how the shading was done on this piece.

For this sunset painting I wanted it to be super vibrant. I first started with the background, painting it a pastel yellow, after that I worked on adding all of the details. I was inspired off of my first sunset painting and how vibrant it was so I wanted an upscaled sunset painting. I think something I really struggled on was the grass. I kept adding layer after layer and I just couldn't get it to look the way I wanted it to. It was supposed to be a realistic painting, but it was a struggle with all of the colors and big canvas. However, I am happy with the colors of the sunset.

For this sunset painting I wanted it to be super vibrant and realistic. I started with a different technique than the other sunset painting. I woud say it is my favorite out of my sunset paintings. I think something I really struggled with was getting the sky to blend the orange and the blue but it still turned out really well. I think the reason I did better on this painting was because I was painting on a smaller scale. I am happy with the colors of the sunset and grass.
