I wanted it to look like rocks and have more natural shapes to it. I started with a decently sized bowl form and added on a rocky like texture. After it was fired I glazed it with a brownish glaze that turns off-white on the edges. I'd say its used for holding simple small things like coins, paperclips, etc. The most difficult part about the piece was trying to smooth edges without getting rid of the pattern.

I wanted it to look old or ancient. I started made it a normal size with a bit of a scaly pattern near the bottom. After it was fired, it cracked in the front but I glazed it with a brownish glaze that blue on the edges and a metallic near the rim . I'd say it can be used for holding flowers or left alone for decoration. The most difficult part about the piece was trying to glaze it with the huge crack in the front.

I wanted it to look ornate and have uniform shapes. I started with a decently small bowl form and added on a diamond texture. After it was fired I glazed it with a bit of a light blue glaze and a black glitery glaze. I'd say its used for holding simple small things like coins, paperclips, etc. The most difficult part about the piece was trying to get it to have a flat bottom, unfortunately it has a round bottom and rocks around when touched.

I wanted them to look like faces. I started with two small balls of clay. After it was fired I glazed one with a brownish glaze and a metalic. the other I glazed just metalic. I'd its good for a office decoration. The most difficult part about the piece was trying to form the faces and shapes of the little heads.

I wanted it to look like a classic cup. I started on the wheel with a small bit of clay. After it was fired I glazed it with a off-white glaze and a tiny bit of a light blue glaze. I'd say its used for holding simple small things like coins, paperclips, etc. The most difficult part about the piece was trying to get it off the wheel, unfortunately it detached from the wheel and now it has a dent.

I wanted it to look like a colorful cup. I started on the wheel with a small bit of clay. After it was fired I glazed it with a green and a clitlery black glaze. I'd say its used for holding simple small things like coins, paperclips, etc. The most difficult part about the piece was trying to glaze the small cup without it looking bad and it came out alright.

I wanted it to look like a classic cup and be slightly bigger than the other cups. I started on the wheel with a small bit of clay. After it was fired I glazed it with a brown glaze and a tiny bit of green glaze for highlights. I'd say it can be used as an actual cup but its a bit small. The most difficult part about the piece was trying to get it off the wheel, unfortunately it detached from the wheel and now it has a dent.
I wanted it to look like a pepper sitting on a peice of wood. I started with a ball of airdry clay. After it was dried I painted it with acrylic paint. I'd its good for a decoration on a shelf. The most difficult part about the piece was trying to form the pepper without the airdry clay crumbling.

I wanted it to look like a trophy and be bigger than the other bowls that I did. I started pressing bits of clay into a bowl till the ceramic took shape of it, then I added feet and two handles. After it was fired I glazed it with a corroded gold glaze. I'd say it can be used as an planter or to hold things. The most difficult part about the piece was making sure that it wouldn't fall apart.
