My idea with this piece of art was too show my love for penguins and how much there species has helped me evolve and get better as a person. penguins stick in packs/large groups of penguins and that helped me realize that I don't need to be alone all the time and that I need to spend more time with my friends and family. I started of by sketching the outline lightly with a normal No.2 pencil, then after that I started to use charcoal to fill in the black spots, it wasn't working to well at first but it was getting better as I continued to draw. I want the audience to realize penguins don't look as happy when they aren't in their groups. hopefully this will make people realize that you don't have to be alone all the time and that there are other people there for you. The most difficult part of drawing this would definitely have to getting symmetrical lines as well as blending everything together. If I were to start over I would pick different pencil shades so that it looked better color wise. This is a realistic piece of art and what makes it unique to my style is that is that its not perfect, it's not putting a perfect vision of a penguin in your head but you can still tell that it is one.

I am still currently working on this piece of art but my idea for this was to capture my family in one of the few times that we all get along. It was difficult getting the shapes of the head correct along with the faces but I am getting better. I started off by drawing a grid to help me with the sizing and the shapes. then I moved on to some of the details that are still currently in progress. Ive drawn only in pencil so far but I am working on getting it colored and finished. I want my audience to see that even though our family seems crazy at some points, we all still love each other in the end. The most difficult part that I am still working on is all of the facial details and trying to get them to look somewhat realistic. If I could change something about what I have done so far is drawing lighter so that whenever I need to erase I can and it wont leave behind any marks. This is a realistic piece of art and what makes it unique to my own is that it is my family and it isn't something anyone else would think to draw.
