This is the official dress code for the Worship Arts Ministry at CCWC. In an effort to keep everyone's focus on the Lord, and to give Him all the glory, we have put together some basic guidelines to make sure everyone dresses appropriately. Please refer to as often as necessary. If you have any questions at all, please email us.
-No Midriffs
This includes T-Shirts that are short enough to be considered a midriff, especially if you were to raise your hands.
-No Leggings/Yoga Pants
You may wear these only if you have something covering you (at least knee length).
-Consider the lights
Our lights on stage shine through any thin fabric, especially white; please be mindful of this.
-Loose, long, layered
A basic principle to make sure you are within the dress code.
-Knee length
Any dress or skirt that is worn must be at least knee length.
-Shorts
Shorts must be appropriate (for both men and women).
-Appropriate collars
Ladies, please make sure your shirt is high enough in the front.
-No tanks or spaghetti straps at all.
-Avoid white, thin, bright, or wild patterns.
The lighting on stage easily shines right through white or thin fabrics, making them practically transparent. Bright and wild patterns can actually manipulate and compromise the quality of the camera feed.
These are just basic things to help us stay as appropriate as possible. There are good reasons for all these things, and we truly hope you all understand why it is important. Not only are we representing leadership, the ministry, and the church when we are on the stage, but we are also being broadcasted all over the globe; our services are viewed nationally and in many other countries. Just some things to consider. Please note that this applies to any and every area of Worship Arts.
If for some reason we recognize that an individual is having trouble adhering to the dress code, we will take the proper action to sit down with that person and lovingly discuss it with them.
