CTE / The Academy of Visual and Performing Art's School of Film is taught as a 7th period at Culver City High School and is part of the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. The School of Film is a rigorous film craft program, comparable to a college-level film production class. The School of Film's curriculum incorporates workshops, industry professional guest speakers, and many hands-on film making opportunities.
Auditions for the School of Film are open to 9th - 12th graders and take place in the second week of the school year. The School of Film is a CTE Pathway and graduates of the School of Film will be awarded a CTE Certificate upon completion.
