EXPLANATION OF MARCHING BAND FEES
Students are charged marching band fees to help cover the significant costs involved in running a high-quality, competitive program. These fees support essentials such as field show design, music arranging, choreography, competition entry, buses and equipment transportation, band camp expenses, uniforms, repairs, and supplies, parade shirts and performance shirts. Students enrolled in band classes also pay a standard class materials fee each trimester, which helps cover sheet music and instructional materials. Together, these fees allow the program to offer a safe, well-organized, and educationally rich experience for every student.
Families can pay fees online through SchoolCash or in person to Jenny Whiting in the Green Canyon Financial Office. While it’s important to meet due dates so the program can finalize travel and competition costs, we never want financial concerns to prevent a student from participating in marching band. Fundraising opportunities will be offered throughout the season, and families with financial questions or unique circumstances are encouraged to speak directly with Mr. Andersen. The goal is for every student who wants to participate to have the opportunity, and we’re committed to working with families to make that possible.
