Language Arts
We are reading the story The First Tortilla and focusing on the plot and theme of the story.
We are reading and enjoying The One and Only Ivan. Hopefully everyone is enjoying the opportunity to share this book together with their family.
Math
The students have become secure with adding and subtracting within numbers up to 1,000, as we have had a great deal of practice! Thank you for all the support at home. We will have a mid- module assessment on Thursday! Students will come home with the Mid Module 5 review sheet tomorrow.
For homework assistance here is a link to videos that may help your child. Hope this helps!

**Student led Conferences are Thursday, March 5th and Wednesday, March 11th.
***Forms for Six Flags Read to Succeed are due today, Monday, March 2nd!!!
I sent home the form for our Six Flags Read to Succeed Reading Incentive program on Friday, January 9th. This is a voluntary program. Please read it carefully because this year parents need to record the hours of reading on the website using my class code listed on the paper. To earn a free ticket to Great America a minimum of 6 hours need to be recorded by March 2nd, and the tickets will be passed out at the end of the year.
Earth club is collecting bread tags for recycling. Instead of bread tags ending up in the landfill, we will give them to SCARCE to add to the county's collection. The bread tags will be recycled into wheelchairs for underprivileged children. Please help Cloverdale School help other children and and the Earth by saving bread tags!
***Please make sure your child is reading 20 minutes every day to help them grow as a reader.
