FAQ

What do I need for class?

Please bring your CHARGED iPad, binder, pencil, ear buds, completed homework, and AR book to each class.

What happens if I forgot my homework or didn’t complete a responsibility assignment?

Responsibility grades are all or nothing; they must be completed by the start of class on the deadline to receive credit and cannot be turned in late.

What should I do if I’m absent?

It is your responsibility to see your teachers during homeroom upon your return or email your teachers for assignments you must make up. Please see the student handbook for the policy regarding how long you have to make up your assignments.

What happens if I didn’t get my proficiency assignment completed by the due date?

Late work will not be accepted. This includes Study Island and iXL independent assignments which have a one-week window. If there are extenuating circumstances, please see your teacher directly.

What are we allowed to do during homeroom?

During homeroom, you will have time to work on iXL, Study Island, meet with teachers (with a pass), or read for AR. You are expected to complete your homework at home.

Will this assignment be a grade?

Please complete each assignment as if it is a proficiency grade. If you are being asked to do something, it is important and should be treated as such.

What happens if I fail a test?

You have one week to do test corrections or retake the test. See your teacher directly for assistance and specific guidelines for this process in their class.

What do I need to do to be successful in 7th grade?

Treat all adults and fellow students with kindness and respect, put forth your best effort every day, and ask for help when you need it. Stay organized by keeping track of your assignments in either a paper or digital homework planner.
