Anatomy and Physiology is a course in which students will examine human anatomy and physical functions. They will analyze descriptive results of abnormal physiology and evaluate clinical consequences. A workable knowledge of medial terminology will be demonstrated.

Textbook: Essentials of Human Anatomy & Physiology Marieb and Keller (SBN: 0-13-458057-5

Expectations:

1. Be on time and bring all supplies with you

2. Follow rules in your student hand book.

3. Supplies needed:

a. color pencils (at least 24 pack)

b. three ring binder/ dividers

c. paper/ black pen and pencils

d. note cards

4. NO FOOD allowed during labs. You may have a drink

5. Be polite and listen (your classmate may ask your question)

Class work/ home work will be 40% tests/quizzes/ projects 40% midterm/ final 20%

Class and daily work is to be turned in on the day it is assigned in class or when otherwise stated. Unexcused absences will result in work given a 0 until excused.

Missed work due to absences is the responsibility of the student to schedule and complete with in 5 days of return to class. Remember unexcused absent is a “0” but work still needs to be completed no late work will be accepted after the allowed time frame.

This will be a fast and busy semester. Please feel free to ask questions at any time to clarify information and requirements. This class will be a combination of lecture, discussions and labs. To make up tests please schedule times ASAP. Read and study everyday this will help in the long run. Complete work right away and use your school time wisely.
