In the new Language and Literature curriculum, students have more choice, more freedom, and more control over their assessments. We are now able to structure the course in a way that enables you to make links between the texts you read and the world you live in, both locally and globally. You are also able to prepare for your assessments in a way that removes a lot of the stress and unknowns.
This will help you to make the most of your learning. Most exciting, the inclusion of the "Learner Portfolio" gives every student a space to explore, explain and demonstrate what they've learned and how they have come to their conclusions in independent and creative ways. This portfolio replaces some of the more structured assessments from the previous course which means you have more creative freedom and less constraints on how you demonstrate your learning.

Carousel thesis statement - Tips and Tops: In your assigned breakout rooms (linked above) visit each of the group thesis statement Jamboards (linked below) and leave a minimum of one tip (what could that group improve on with their thesis statement? What could make their statement stronger, clearer, more concise?) and one top (what is already well done regarding their thesis statement?). Each tip should be made with an orange sticky note; each top, with a blue sticky note. Please include your group's name on each of your sticky notes so I can track that you've completed your work.
