UNIVERSITY OF BRASILIA HEALTH LAW RESEARCH GROUP
The Health Law Research Group (Portuguese acronym GESAN) is a university-based research group focused on law theory, legal frameworks, and policy issues in the health sector from the perspective of the regulatory practice in Brazil and abroad. Founded in 2000 at the University of Brasilia, GESAN has played a key role in hosting an academic environment for collaboration between professors, students, policy makers, regulators, consumer advocates, and the civil society, building bridges for a better understanding of the ongoing regulatory changes in health law. It developed the Consolidation of Brazil's Health System in partnership with Fiocruz Foundation. In 2010, GESAN was officially incorporated to the School of Law Center on Law and Regulation at the University of Brasilia (Act of Incorporation). National Committee on Science and Technology Development registered docket.

O Grupo de Estudos em Direito Sanitário da Universidade de Brasília (GESAN/UnB) é um grupo de pesquisa e trabalho oficialmente reconhecido por Ato da Direção da Faculdade de Direito da UnB como grupo de pesquisa integrante de seu Núcleo de Direito Setorial e Regulatório. Ele participou do esforço nacional de institucionalização das promotorias de saúde, bem como foi responsável pela elaboração da Consolidação das Normas do SUS, em 2017, em parceira com a Fundação Oswaldo Cruz. Registro no CNPq.
