Reading: Right before I left for the Washington D.C. field trip, we finished reading our art mystery novel Masterpiece! Students will take a comprehension quiz over the last half of the novel on Tuesday. In order to provide a good balance between fiction and nonfiction text, students will begin an "Artist Study" in which they will read an informational passage about a famous artist throughout our time reading Masterpiece. Our focus for this week will be the artist Andy Warhol.
ELA: Due to Spring Break, Easter weekend, and state testing coming up the next few weeks, students will have an altered vocabulary routine. Before Spring Break, students received a new set of vocabulary words (Greek Word Parts: mech, meter, path) and will take the quiz on Monday, April 6th.
In celebration of completing our novel Masterpiece, students will be participating in an Art Heist Escape Room on Wednesday and Thursday.
