August 31st - September 4th
Reading: This week students will learn about and practice identifying the different elements of a story (character, setting, plot, conflict, and theme).
ELA: As part of a 'getting to know you activity', students will create a dictionary page that describes themselves. On Thursday, students will take their weekly vocabulary quiz over Compound Words*. On Friday, students will receive a new set of vocabulary words (Homographs)* for their upcoming test on Thursday, September 10th.
*These words are different from the 5th grade list
