The Solo and Ensemble Competition is held every year in the spring semester for all fine arts students. Taking place in St. Mary's University at the St. Gregory chapel, the students who enter will select their solos or ensemble pieces from  the UIL Preferred Music List. Music can be purchased at a local sheet music store or online. Below are links to some suggested online stores. Students will pay a fee of $15 up front to the TAPPS officials upon arrival to the venue. 

Students will perform by themselves or with a pianist in front of a judge for a chance to receive professional adjudication, a rating, and a medal. All who participated will be recognized by the school and can wear their medals during the End Of Year Concert Band performance in May.

All students should have received this form at the beginning of the new year filled out and turned in to Mr. Gutierrez. The deadline is January 19th, 2024
