Year 7 Cultural Presentations

I thought it would be a nice start to the year to share the exciting work from Year 7 thus far!

Last half term, pupils in Year 7 were exploring different cultures through poetry. This included reading and analysing poetry from other cultures, as well as producing their own creative pieces.

Their homework project was to present on their own cultures after the Christmas break.

The effort and energy put into these presentations was superb.  Pupils brought in food, clothing, maps and special family items and explained in detail what happens within their culture, especially at ‘special’ times of the year.

I am so impressed with how hard all of the students are working. Keep up the great work Year 7!

Year 10 Reading Support at St Theresa's Primary School

Thank you to our wonderful Year 10s who showed true patience and kindness, reading with our local Primary School children this week. They were full of confidence and support helping them to 'advance all the way' and we could not have been prouder of the way the conducted themselves.
