Royal Academy Young Artists Summer Show 2026 - Call for Submissions!
The Young Artists’ Summer Show is an opportunity for UK-based young artists aged 4-18 to make and share a piece of artwork that truly expresses their own voice. There is no set theme and we welcome submissions covering a range of techniques including drawing, painting, printing, photography, sculpture, textile, fashion, animation, video, and more.
Want to take part, but stuck for what to do? Come to Art Club after school on Tuesdays in room 249 for help!

Barnet Careers Festival - Save the Date!
BELS, BOOST, The Barnet Group and Middlesex University are collaborating to organise a Careers Festival for young people Year 11 and above. The event will be held at Middlesex University on Wednesday 18 March between 4pm and 7pm. It is a fantastic opportunity for students to meet employers and learn about different professions and there will also be live vacancies for apprenticeships, full-time and part-time jobs on offer at the event. Interactive workshops have been planned as well as access to advice and guidance from employment advisers. We would appreciate your support in promoting this event with your students, and if possible, share the flyer below with students and parents/ carers.

You will hear about our two, industry-led aviation courses for 16 to 18 year-olds:
Level 3 Aviation Operations (two‑year, equivalent to 3 A levels) — taught at Barnet Campus with industry‑led sessions across the year.
NEW: Level 3 Aviation Engineering Level 3 (Southgate, first intake September 2026) — a hands‑on route aligned to Pearson’s Aeronautical Engineering framework, covering human factors, composites, Industry 4.0 and more.

Reminder: STEM Futures- Year 10 & 12 Programmes
Careers information:
For students of Black heritage interested in studying STEM.
A multi-year programme of activities and support for students of Black heritage who are interested in studying STEM.
STEM Futures has been developed to support students discover the wide range of subjects within STEM studies and support them with the university application process. Students can join the programme in Year 10 or Year 12.
Students will take part in subject-specific workshops linked to the STEM subjects they are studying at GCSE or A Level. They will also join a range of engaging personal development sessions focused on exam preparation and communication skills designed to help students feel more confident about their future in STEM.
Events run in-person so applicants need to live in London to be able to commute to South Kensington Campus.
Applications are open and will close on Monday 9 February 2026 for Year 10 and Monday 12 January 2026 for Year 12.
