My Zone : Next Week's Lesson Years 7-11
Week 3: My Boundaries: My Rights: Consent, Respect and the Law (week commencing 19th Jan)
This half term, students across Years 7–11 have begun the My Relationships unit in MyZone. This unit supports young people to develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to build healthy, respectful, and safe relationships now and as they grow older.
This week, students explored personal boundaries, how to set and communicate boundaries, and how to recognise when boundaries are crossed, including information on forms of manipulation, harassment and abuse.
Next week, lessons will focus on My Rights: Consent, Respect and the Law. Across the year groups, students will learn about consent, personal space, what is or is not consent, when consent is more complex, what coercion and extortion are and moving onto topics like sexual abuse, harassment, legal rights, bystander responsibility and victim support in older year groups.
EXCEPTION: Year 8 will be doing a different topic next week: My Body: Understanding Changes and Feelings.
The year 8 sessions will be split by gender.
Boys session: Sarabi hall led by Mr Zanjani
Girls session: Drama Studio led by Miss Sugden
Important Year 11 reminder:
As Year 11 students study MyZone for this half term only, they are not issued with MyZone workbooks. Please ensure that Year 11 students bring a notebook to use during MyZone lessons.
If you have any questions about the content of the My Relationships unit, or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

This is an important evening and provides you with an opportunity to hear a detailed update on your child’s progress this year.
The school uses an online booking and appointment system. This allows you to choose your own appointment times with teachers and you will receive an email confirming your appointments. The appointment meetings will then be carried out virtually using video software.
Appointments can be made from Thursday 22nd January at 6pm.
Please visit https://ccf.schoolcloud.co.uk to book your appointments.
Login with the following information:
Student’s First Name
Student’s Surname
Date of Birth
As I'm sure you are aware, a number of our staff teach multiple Year 7 classes, which means you may not be able to secure appointments with all of your child's teachers. If you are unable to book an appointment and would like feedback from a specific teacher, please email info@ccfplus.com.
If you have any issues with this system, please contact Mrs Bone via info@ccfplus.com, who will be happy to assist with making appointments.
Year 11 Mock Exam Results
Dear Y11 parents,
Your child has received their Year 11 mock examination results today and will be bringing them home. These results also now available to view on MCAS.
If you experience any difficulties accessing the results, please contact us via email at mcas@ccfplus.com.
While these results provide a useful indication of the level at which your son/daughter is currently working, it is important to remember that most Year 11 pupils improve on their mock exam results in the final GCSE examinations this summer. The primary purpose of these mock exams is to help teachers, pupils and parents identify areas for improvement and highlight where pupils should focus their efforts in the lead-up to the final examinations.
If you have any queries regarding the results, please contact Mr Depala, Ms Scott or Mr Nielsen via info@ccfplus.com.
Parent Pay - Lunch
Please could we remind parents/carers to keep an eye on their child’s lunch money balance to ensure it remains in credit.
To ensure we can keep our catering running smoothly, we are currently unable to serve hot meals to students whose accounts are not topped up; in these instances, a cold lunch alternative will be provided instead.
Thank you for your understanding

Do you have a Young Carer at Home?
At our school, we are committed to supporting the wellbeing of every pupil. We would like to raise awareness of young carers and encourage parents and carers to let us know if this applies to their child.
A young carer is a child or young person who supports, or lives with, someone who has a disability, long-term illness, mental health difficulty, addiction, or any other issue that affects their day-to-day life. This could be a parent, sibling, other family member, or even a close friend. The support they provide may be practical, emotional, or both — and often young people do not realise that what they do means they are considered a young carer.
If your son or daughter is in this situation, they automatically qualify as a young carer and may be entitled to additional understanding and support.
We work in partnership with Barnet Young Carers, an organisation that recognises, supports, and values the important caring roles young people take on. With the right support in place, young carers can be helped to manage their responsibilities while still enjoying school life, learning, and time for themselves.
If you think your child may be a young carer, or if you would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact Miss Pullan via the school email info@ccfplus.com. All conversations will be treated sensitively and confidentially.
By working together, we can ensure that young carers feel seen, supported, and able to thrive.
Kind regards
Miss S Pullan
