ATTENTION STUDENTS: Graduation is a dignified ceremony, please dress the part. Remember that this night is about honoring your family as well as yourself.
GUIDELINES
Take your gown out of the bag it came in and hang it up.
You cannot iron your gown or honor sashes. You can use a steamer or hang it in the bathroom to use the steam from the shower to get the wrinkles out.
You cannot decorate your cap or gown. Only school-sanctioned honor cords/stoles can be worn over your gown. You should pin your cords/stoles to your gown.
You should dress appropriately under your gown. For example: nice pants, a nice shirt, a dress or a skirt.
You should wear nice shoes. Think about your shoe choice and be sure you can walk in them. This isn't the first time to test out wearing high heels.
Your cap is an important part of the ceremony. Its sets you apart from everyone else that is attending. It needs to be worn flat on your head, not tilted to the back. The inside of your hat tells you which side is the front. Criss-cross bobby pins to keep it secured to your head. Your tassel goes on the right side until your class president tells you to move it. You can wrap it around the button on the top of your cap to secure it.
