Who is a part of YAC?
YAC is a collective group of students with and without intellectual disabilities within Churchville-Chili CSD. Our aim is to help facilitate our schools' and communities' engagement in inclusive activities that support our Unified Sports Program.
What does YAC do?
We work in partnership with Unified Sports and Special Olympics to educate, motivate, and activate our peers to become agents of change in our communities and advocate for the respect, inclusion, and acceptance of all people, regardless of abilities.
How do I get involved?
YAC is a great club to join to help bring change through sports and sports-related programs. Our Youth Activation Committee has helped Churchville-Chili become a Special Olympics Unified Champion School. Our YAC group and our Unified Teams are supported, driven, and informed by the advice of youth leaders representing intermediate and secondary schools within our school district, our county, our state, and across the country. You can make a difference in our school and community. We are always welcoming and encouraging new members! Please see the calendar below for future meeting dates. If you have any questions or want more please see Mrs. Wergin in the Churchville-Chili SHS & NGA Library.
The nurse must clear YAC members who wish to practice/play. If you want to participate in Unified this Basketball season, please enroll in MyFamilyID.
The MyFamilyID registration link & info is here.
Registration opens March, 8th!
The CCCSD Youth Activation Committee meets regularly in the SHS & NGA Library. Meeting dates and YAC-related activities (including Unified games/matches and practices) for the 2023-2024 school year are on the calendar below and are also posted on our Google Classroom.
