6th grade curriculum: In sixth grade we explore themes within art and practice many art techniques to fill our expressive toolboxes. Want to know how to improve your art, show depth within a picture, or make your artwork more interesting? Ms. Vedder’s class can help you with all of that and more! Not only do you have the opportunity to use a variety of art media (the materials used to make an artwork), we build a supportive artist community where you can collaborate, and give and get feedback during class critiques.
You should expect to keep a sketchbook and maintain a digital portfolio. This is a great way to see personal progress and adopt the real world practices of artists and creatives!
