My name is Stephanie Adams. This will be my 17th year teaching, and my 1st year at Parkway Elementary School. I taught for 11 years at Martinez Elementary School. I grew up in Columbia County and graduated from Evans High School. I attended Augusta State University and received a degree in Early Childhood Education. I recently earned an Educational Specialist Degree in Advanced Educational Studies. My family includes my husband Brian and our daughters Brinlee (10) and Peyton (6).
I enjoy a good laugh. My hobbies include reading and obsessing over Clemson football! I also enjoy wearing orange and purple, not the TN orange color and not GA red. We enjoy spending time at the lake ono ur boat and going to new places. I will be teaching reading and social studies this year, and I am looking forward to my first year here at PES!
My name is Mary Chavous. I am looking forward to my 19th year of teaching. This will be my 1st year at Parkway Elementary. I taught 9 years at Martinez Elementary. I am an Augusta native and a graduate of UGA (Bachelors) and Augusta University (Masters). My husband Jimmy and I have 2 beautiful daughters, Sophie (10) and Claire (6). I love cooking and playing any type of games. I am confident this year will be a great one!
My name is Susan Dachenhausen. I have taught for 15 years and I am excited to start my 16th year. This is my first year at Parkway Elementary. I taught eight years at Martinez Elementary. I grew up in Athens, GA and went to school in Oconee County. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I earned my Masters Degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University with a Personalized Learning Endorsement. I have my gifted and math endorsement. My family includes my husband, Chase, and my three daughters Emma (10), Avery (8), and Chloe (6). We have 1 dog, Wilson, a golden retriever chow mix.
This is my 13th year of teaching. I am excited to be teaching science and writing this year. My family consists of my husband, two children (Madison, 18 and Chandler, 16) and our dog Harleigh. My favorite part of being a teacher is watching students learn new things and helping students learn to believe in themselves.
My name is Cal Reynolds. I have been teaching for 8 years. I taught 7 years at Martinez Elementary School and this is my first year at PES. I am happily married to Lauren Reynolds and I have a 12 year old son Hopkins and a 1 year old girl, Mary Kathryn. I enjoy watching Football, Go Dawgs, golf, music, and cooking. I am excited to start another year of teaching math.
I am excited to be teaching social studies and reading in my fourth year in 5th grade at Parkway Elementary. I received my undergrad degree in early childhood education from GCSU and my masters in instruction from AU. I am excited to be starting my specialist in advanced instruction at AU this fall. I enjoy watching football, reading books, being with my family, and spending time with my 3-year-old golden doodle, Elly May.
