Course Synopsis and Text  The AP Psychology course introduces students to the systematic and scientific study of human behavior and mental processes. While considering the studies that have shaped the field, students explore and apply psychological theories, key concepts, and phenomena associated with major units of study, including biological bases of behavior, cognition, development, learning, social psychology, personality, and mental and physical health. Throughout the course, students apply psychological concepts and employ psychological research methods and data interpretation to evaluate claims, consider evidence, and effectively communicate ideas. Late Work Policy:

• Assignments turned in after the assigned due date will receive a maximum score of an 80.  

• Students can turn in assignments late until the day of the summative assessment of that standard or unit and receive a maximum score of an 80. After the summative assessment, late assignments will not be accepted or graded.

• If you are absent the day a posted assignment is due, it is due on the day that you return.

Specific types of assignments may have specific rules. For example, FRQs: 

FRQ type essays that are turned in late will receive 50%. These are part of a rolling avg and typically there are 3 or more averaged together for one FRQ avg per 9 weeks (Very few assignments fall into this category)
