High School Personal Fitness

Course Description: The PERSONAL FITNESS classis one of the two required high school course in Georgia.. This means high school level expectations.The class content provides for physical, mental, social, and emotional skill development, which will be continued throughout your the high school program. The emphasis in Personal Fitness is to develop an understanding of skills through participation in physical activity as well as concepts of wellness.

Activities: Activities will be presented to develop understanding of movement concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they apply to the learning and performance of physical activities and attaining, and maintaining, a high level of wellness.

Grading: Will be posted on your class page.

Class Set Up: We will meet for 2 live sessions each week. The first session of the week will explain the assignments for the week, while the second will be primarily to answer any questions you might have and /or discuss any ideas or concerns you have about the class as well as quizzes and test, throughout the semester. These session days and times will be emailed to you along with the class codes you will need to access our class page.On days we do not have live meets you will be expected to complete a daily work assignment.

Medical Issues: If your child has medical concerns, please do not hesitate to send an email addressing the concern.

Google Meets: Please sign in early to all live sessions on Google Meets. Time and date will be posted on Google Classroom and emailed to each student assigned to the class.
