She received her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in history from Augusta State University, her Masters in Education from Southern Wesleyan University, her Specialist in Educational Leadership from Augusta State University, and her Doctorate of Education in Curriculum Studies from Georgia Southern University. If she had the chance to be an IB student, she would have! She loves IB and all that it does for everyone involved in the Programme.

Mrs. Katie Newton
She played softball at Brewton-Parker College for two years. When her journey came to an end, she transferred to Augusta (State) University. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, with a minor in Social Work. After getting married and having her first two children, she returned to graduate school. She earned a Masters of Education in Counseling from Augusta (State) University. She began her career as a Professional School Counselor in 2007 at Lakeside Middle School. She has also worked at Grovetown Middle School. She began working at Lakeside High School in 2011, shortly after the birth of her third child. She joined the IB Diploma Programme during the authorization process in 2016.

Mrs. Michelle Collins
Mrs. Collins graduated from Augusta State University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in English Education. She continued at Augusta State to complete her Masters and Specialist Degree. She and her husband, Steve, have two daughters, Ann (9) and Kate (7). She spends most of her free time sitting at soccer fields, watching sports, binging shows, and reading books!

She received her Bachelors in Science at Augusta State University, Master in education at Georgia Southern University, and specialist in education at Augusta University. She recently completed her Doctorate in Education at Georgia Southern University.
She and her husband love national parks! They would like to visit them all of them eventually and have visited about 20 so far!

He attended undergrad at Brewton- Parker College, received his M.Ed. and Ed.S from Augusta University, and obtained his Ed.D from Georgia Southern

He graduated from Augusta State University with a BS in Physics. He also has MS in computer science from Columbus State, and a Ed.D in Curriculum Studies from Georgia Southern!
He has numerous interests and enjoys finding new ones to learn about and explore!

She graduated from Lakeside High School and attended UGA for her undergraduate degree. She also has two degrees from Augusta University.
This is her 9th year teaching, and she is also the sponsor for the Relay for Life Team!
She has a two year old boy and another one on the way, along with a four year old black lab! When she is not chasing after them, she loves reading, exercising, and watching true crime documentaries!

He loves traveling, college football, playing golf, fishing every chance he gets, and playing with his kids. He is also coaches lacrosse!

Dr. David Owen
Teaches HL and SL for both subjects
He has degrees from the University of Georgia (Bachelor and Master's in English Literature) and Georgia Southern University (Doctorate in Curriculum Studies) and he teaches and writes in a variety of fields. His published works include Calling You Home (2021), Field Theory: Curriculum Studies at Work (DIO Press, 2019), Fireflies: Memory, Identity, and Poetry (Brill | Sense, 2017), The Need for Revision: Curriculum, Literature, and the 21st Century (Sense Publishers, 2011), Once Out Loud (2004), and William Blake's "The Everlasting Gospel": A Hypertext Edition (University of Georgia, 2001).

She attended the University of Georgia and Augusta State.
She is also the head swim and dive coach. Her daughter graduated from the IB Programme and is currently thriving at Mercer University. It's a fabulous program to prepare your student for college.
She enjoys reading and traveling!

She is originally from Aurora, Colorado where she attended Colorado State University. Shortly after graduating college, she met her husband who was in the Army at the time. Since then, they have lived in Kansas, Stuttgart Germany, Darmstadt Germany, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and eventually made roots in Georgia. She has three children, one of which works for Apple, her second is about to graduate high school, and her third will be entering high school in 21-22 school year.
