We are focusing on the following skills: point of view, theme, literary elements, and figurative language.

We will be reading the following stories:

• Marisol McDonald Doesn't Match

• Judy Moody: Mood Martian

• Stink and the Freaky Frog Freakout

• Scaredy Squirrel

We are working on narrative writing:

• Establish a situation and introduce a narrator and/or characters

• Organize an event sequence that unfolds naturally

• Use temporal words and phrases to signal event order

• Provide a sense of closure.
