I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade at Greenbrier Elementary again this year! I have previously taught 2nd Grade at Grovetown Elementary.
I was born and raised in Augusta and graduated from Westside High School. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Augusta University, a Master's Degree in Foundations of Education from Troy State University, and a Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education from Augusta University. I recently earned a Gifted Endorsement through Georgia Southern University.
In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, shopping, and spending time with family.
I love teaching and I am looking forward to an awesome year!
This school year will mark my 14th year teaching 3rd grade at GBE!!
Math and Science are the two subjects I have mostly taught as a 3rd grade teacher, but I have taught Languages Arts and Social Studies as well.
I enjoy teaching all subjects, but Math and Science are my favorite!! So... 14 years teaching at GBE, but 20 years teaching all together and 27 years in the education system!!
Besides teaching 3rd grade, I have taught kindergarten and second grade!! I am gifted and ESOL endorsed.
I am a native of Portland, Oregon, but I have lived in the Augusta /Evans area for about 34 years (so, pretty much my whole adult life). I have two wonderful children who are now adults! Devin, my son and Autumn, my daughter. My two kiddos are my pride and joy. You will definitely hear me talk about them a lot because they are doing so many great things and I am beyond proud of them!!
I am super excited about this school year and being your teacher, and I am truly looking forward to an awesome school year!!
