Process

Steps

I demonstrated research skills throughout the whole stage of “gathering information relevant for my topic and product.” This stage consisted in answering inquiry questions, which then would lead to sub-questions. From the above mentioned stage I learned how to conduct appropriate research and to determine when and how to make changes to an investigation to grant its success. I was capable of learning this by having to modify multiple times my research questions, which forced me to narrow down my investigation to more specific topics (see extract 1 ). While doing this, I was able to avoid plagiarism. I managed to do this by citing appropriately with the APA method (see extract 2 ) and using the OPVL technique which allowed me to determine whether or not a source was reliable, to determine their precedence, purpose, value and limitations (see extract 3). I was able to develop two techniques in the process: “Understand and implement intellectual property rights” and “Create references and citations, use footnotes/endnotes and construct a bibliography according to recognized conventions.” I believe both of these are covered in the creation of the appropriate bibliography using the APA method and evaluation of sources to determine their credibility (OPVL). Finally I managed to use different/diverse sources as bases for my research, interviews, books, web pages and surveys are some examples (They can all be found in the bibliography extract above)
