The closure of a private school which existed in the locality for more than a decade, urged the Barangay Council to meet with the Project Leaders of the nearby barangays to initiate the opening of a Public Secondary School in Mambulo Nuevo

A join resolution seeking the approval of the Department of Education, Culture and sports (DECS) for the opening of Mambulo Nuevo High School at Mambulo Nuevo Libmanan, Camarines Sur was passed on February 21, 1994. Among those who were present in the deliberaton were the Barangay Council Members of Mambulo Nuevo, with Hon. Winnie Bocato, Hon. Jose J. San Buenaventura Sr., Hon. Nelia Sanchez, Hon. Estilita Payoran, and Hon. Pedro Villanueva, members of Mambulo Nuevo Barangay Council. Representative from nearby barangays are also present during the meeting such as Barangay Bagadion, Barangay Tinaguihan, Barangay Duang Niog, Barangay Busac, Barangay Mambulo Viejo and Barangay Bagamelon.

The approved Joint-Resolution No. 01, series 1994 was forwarded to the office the Municipal Council in Libmanan for deliberation and was approved by the municipal council and concurrently approved by the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Teodoro V. Dilanco. The school cite with 20,000 square meters was purchased by the municipal government which was subsequently donated to the Department  of Education, Culture and Sports through Dr. Elena C. Tino, Schools Division Superintendent.

With the coordination of Mrs. Hilaria Comia, a teacher from San Isidro High School who later become the School Principal, the pertinent papers for the establishment of Mambulo Nuevo High School were submitted and passed through the DepEd Division of Cmarines Sur, DepEd Regional Office V, Legazpi City and finally approved by the DepEd Central Office per endorsment letter dated January 19, 1995 it was signed by DECS Secretary Ricardo T. Gloria.

Kinder to Grade 12 K to 12 Curriculum is the present school curriculum offering for Grade 7 to Grade 11. One of the highlights of this curriculum in the secondary is the additional two years  known as the senior high school. Another interesting  thing that the people of Libmanan could be proud of which is the propitious of the present Principal is that ONLY MAMBULO NUEVO HIGH SCHOOL in the whole Division of Camarines Sur offers three tracks of the K to 12 program. Namely General Academic Strand (GAS) under the Academic Track; Automotive, Cookery and Garments under the Technlogy, Vocational and Livelihood (TVL) Track; and Special Program in Sports under the Sports Track.

Enrollment for the last past five years is swiftly increasing as a result there are Seven Hundred Seventy Two (772) students this school year 2016 - 2017 and counting, which implies an increase of Seven Hundred Percent (700%) compare to the enrolment when the school opens on School Year 1994 - 1995 with One Hundred Thirteen (113) students.
