The ministry student will receive instruction in how to start and maintain basic ministries that are found in most Bible believing churches, and how to know when to develop these ministries if they are missing in the church.
The student will learn the basics of how to pray, ways to pray, how to keep a prayer journal and the proper way to fast. This is perhaps one of the most important classes that a student will ever take.
The student will learn to spot the lines of prophecy that deal with Christ, the Church, and Israel, and how to differentiate between them for proper interpretation of scripture. The student study prophecies that have already been fulfilled and those that are awaiting future fulfilment. The student will also receive basic instruction in all things that deal with the “last days” or the “end times”, and will end the class with a brief overview of eternity for both the saved and the lost.
Students will pick a biography from our CBBC Bookstore, read it and then follow the class guidelines for completion of a biographical summary of that individual and the impact of the study on them personally. This class is a self-study class.
The ministry student will receive instruction in the Biblical positions that are found in the New Testament church, their role and importance, finding Biblically qualified people to fill the positions when they are needed, who to pay and when, and modern positions that are based on Biblical principles but not specifically listed in scripture. This class is essential for proper administration for anyone called to pastor.
This class explores the distinctives that make up a church Baptist, the origin of the Baptist denomination and its predecessors, the history of the Baptist church and the denominational branches along with a study of important Baptist from the early days of the Baptist Church until present.
The student learns the Biblical principles for a godly marriage and home, what the Biblical roles of the husband and wife are, how to properly care for and raise children and how to protect your home against the attacks of Satan. This is a great class to help with pre-marital counselling and the counselling of married couples and children.
This class instructs the ministry student in how to start and maintain a Biblical youth ministry, how to reach the youth of today without compromising the guidelines of scripture, ideas for effective instruction, qualifications for an effective and Biblical youth leader or teacher, accountability, how to implement bus routes and how to protect both the teacher and students.
This class gives the history of mission work from the time of the New Testament Church until present, guidelines for supporting missions and missionaries as a local church, the qualifications of Biblical missionaries, when to stop supporting a mission or missionary and important missionaries throughout history and their work.
