Face coverings must be worn by staff/faculty at all times in the classroom and during arrival, dismissal, and transitional/hallway, restroom times. Face coverings are required when working in close proximity with students. Students riding any district transportation must also wear a face covering at all times.

Schools may allow students to remove face coverings when students are: (update 8/17/20)
Eating or drinking when spaced at least 6 feet apart; or
When wearing a face covering creates an unsafe condition in which to operate equipment or execute a task; or
At least 6 feet apart during “face-covering breaks” to last no longer than 10 minutes.

At this time the maximum class size at Sheckler is 16 in some grade levels. We will space desks out in each classroom as much as possible. Extra unnecessary furniture and classroom items will be eliminated from classrooms to allow for maximum distancing.

We need to consider eliminating hallway water fountains in exchange for bottle filling stations. We will continue to not allow classroom water fountains to be used as well. Obviously, we will encourage students to bring their own bottled water in. Four bottle filling stations - 2 on the 1st floors, 2 on the second floor

The district has purchased additional cleaning products and has adopted new cleaning procedures and protocols with regards to cleaning and sanitizing commonly touched areas as well as restroom, desks and restroom facilities.

We have adjusted our daily schedule to allow for maximum separation and distancing. Our teachers and staff will remind students of the importance of maintaining appropriate distance throughout the day.
