When the priest speaks the words “This is My body...This is the cup of My blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant” He is speaking in the person of Christ, not just speaking words.

Listen for these words each time you participate in the Mass and know that Jesus is truly present!

Lord Jesus,

I believe that you are truly present

in the Eucharist.

As I receive you in Holy Communion,

help me to love as you loved,

and serve as you served,

so I can be the Body of Christ to others.

Lord, strengthen our families in love and faith

that they may to come to know

the Real Presence of Your Body and Blood

in the Eucharist.
