Catholic education is a formation of the whole person in light of the destiny that Jesus Christ has prepared for each of us.
This education takes the form of a gradual revelation of God's plan for salvation that encourages our own growth in knowledge and understanding of the mysteries of God's Kingdom, in Heaven and on earth.
It is nurtured by personal holiness, prayer and Sacramental life. Parents, as the first educators of their children, have a right and duty to nourish the child's spiritual development within the family. The Catholic school exists to support this education.
Creation displays the beauty and design of God's plan. This we explore through mathematics, the sciences and engineering. At the same time, the student grows in maturity.
So too, we explore the beauty of the human condition when we study the social sciences, creative arts and performance - as we grow in emotional maturity and wisdom.
The fact that students may be learning from home does not mean that this wholistic process needs to stop. Indeed it is an opportunity for all our learners to grow in wisdom, virtue and faith.
~ Dr Gerard Gaskin
Catholic schools place an emphasis on the school as a community of faith. Together we build up a learning and faith community and strengthen academic excellence.
To achieve excellence, requires communities to embrace the current challenge with steadfast faith and hope in the Person of Jesus Christ, and to renew our focus on the holistic flourishing of the human person.
The physical, social and emotional wellbeing of all members of our community are key at all times, but especially important during periods of uncertainty.
