Use the domain 'catholictas' when using SSO sign in
One of the biggest tips for teachers wanting to simplify ZOOM for themselves and their students is to use your personal meeting ID to host all your meetings.
Personal Meeting ID Settings
Go to 'Meetings' and then select 'Personal Meeting Room'
This provides options to add co-hosts, password protect meetings and adjust recording settings.
BE AWARE
The TCEO has turned waiting rooms and PMI passwords on by default so that participants can only enter a meeting if admitted by the teachers.
If you would like extra peace of mind you can adjust passwords for your personal meeting room in settings

Student Action
Recording ZOOM meetings can be a great way to create easy to use flipped learning videos.
The TCEO recommends that staff do not record video conference sessions containing student images or personal information except for relatively rare circumstances where it is determined necessary by the school leadership team as part of the school’s education continuity plan.
Where recordings are made which include student images or personal information the following practices are required:
Cloud record the meeting to the CET ZOOM instance or equivalent;
Password protect all recordings (global default setting in CET ZOOM);
Participants must be notified prior to the commencement of recording with permission to be sought where appropriate (an audio warning is provided as a global default setting in CET ZOOM).
Where recordings do not include student images or personal information these practices are not required but are still good practice.
Example circumstances where recording of student images or personal information may be required at the direction of the school leadership team:
An intentional learning session involving students may be recorded so that the session can be shared with other students via the school’s LMS and with password protection.
A staff member may need to record a session with a student as evidence used as part of an assessment piece.
A staff member and a student hold a one-to-one video conference meeting deemed necessary by the school leadership team.
You can access your meetings recordings at catholictas.zoom.us
Only a HOST will have access to the recording unless it has been shared.
As your students will not have their own ZOOM accounts you will not be able to select authenticated users for any videos that you want to share with students. This makes it very important to password protect your videos.
(People being prompted to login when the watch a video)
If you are only sharing the video with staff you leave 'Only Authenticated users' selectedIf you would like students to access the video, select 'Publicly'
I also recommend that your turn OFF 'viewers can download'
Where the recording contains no student images or personal information you may like to remove the password for ease of access for viewers.
You can REMOVE THE PASSWORD do this by: - Go to catholictas.zoom.us- Select Recordings in the left hand menu- Select the recording you are hoping to share- Select SHARE in the top right- Deselect the blue button next to 'password protect'.
You can then copy the link to the clipboard and share the video as required.
