Hey! My name is Heather Webster. I am so excited to be a part of the COMPASS team! I have worked with children for eight years. My experience began as a Wraparound director for Caldwell County Schools. Now, as a TA in Ms. Zimmerman's room I enjoy working with the students at a more personal level. You may sometimes also see me driving a school bus! In my free time I enjoy cooking, making crafts and spending time with my two daughters and baby boy.
Hi, my name is Debbie VanDerwerken and I am proud to join the crew here at Compass Academy. I’m very excited to get to know and work your children. I began working with children in 1990 at The River Street School in Connecticut, where I was a paraprofessional and job coach. In 1996 my daughter and I joined my husband in North Carolina. Since moving here I’ve worked in the Lincoln County School System, in the Exceptional Children’s program, and at Lincoln Charter School. My hobbies include crafting, kayaking, gardening, and working with my hands. I appreciate the opportunity to join Ms. Webster and Mrs. Zimmerman as a part of the K-3 team.
