• Select one upcoming 1st-grade Language Comprehension lesson for all campuses to use in the internalization simulation during the workshop. 

• Notify campus leadership teams of the lesson selection with enough lead time to preview it before the workshop.

• Make sure all campus leaders have access to the district’s HQIM internalization protocol.

Step 1: Preview the district-selected Language Comprehension lesson to prepare for the internalization simulation you will complete during the workshop. Make sure you also have access to this and your district's internalization tool during the workshop.

Step 2: Respond to the following reflection questions:

• • 1) Which quadrant best represents the current state of internalization and rehearsal on your campus? 

  • 2) Who is primarily responsible for ensuring teachers are prepared to effectively teach HQIM lessons on your campus?

  • 3) How clear is it on your campus who owns this work and what that person is expected to do?
