Deepening Personalized Instruction
Part 1 (20 minutes): Campus/Team Level - Which elements will we personalize?
Directions: Use the table to describe instances when specific elements of the student experience will be personalized and when they will be the same for all students. Examples appear in purple text.
If you have already made personalization decisions as “tight” components of your campus or district student experience design or implementation plan, please use this time to CONFIRM and CLARIFY your team’s understanding of the distinctions between when you will personalize and when you will not. Then, discuss learnings and experiences with your personalization decisions based on your implementation to date.
If you have not made personalization decisions, please use this time to come to a shared understanding of the elements you will personalize and which you will not.

Part 2 (15 minutes): Classroom Level - Set Intention for Next Move Toward Personalization
The second part of this activity allows each pilot teacher to consider individually what they will next do to move along the RBL-IC on one personalized instruction strategy.
Identify an element of your student experience you would like to further personalize.
Describe where you currently are on the RBL-IC progression, what action you plan to take to move along the progression, and when you will make this move.
Explain what you expect to see (success indicators) in your students' learning to indicate this next move in personalization is working.
Campus and district leaders: Your role is to be available in your breakout rooms for consultation as teachers raise questions.
