Don't make the mistake of confusing professional ambition with the main task of life: to live well as a human - messiness; relationships; growing; a better, more just, generous, and creative society for the future; and all. What is the human? The word "career" is a problem unless it is a circumscribed tool in a life that is well integrated with the common good. The word "vocation" is beyond the economy. You have your life to figure out what it is to be human.
