I grew up in  Central New York -Aurora, Ithaca, New Hartford, Utica- in the 70s and 80s, traveling back at times to Ohio to see cousins or work on the Oebker farm in Avon. That's Aunt Eleanor on the left in her and Uncle Bill's home, with my mom on the right, collecting quarters of all the states of the U.S.A. sometime in the 2000s.  They used to play together as country kids in Pleasant City, Ohio, down by West Virginia, where my grandpa Bendik was a coal miner.
