Learning Objective: Students will use source documents (customer order form, raw materials records, materials requisitions, labor time records, supplier price lists, etc.) and engineering requirements to demonstrate the job costing process. They will also determine whether certain elements of the process would lead to a different job cost. OPTIONAL: Journal entries associated with the job are included as the last part of the project, but can be eliminated without affecting the rest of the project .

The project is available in EXCEL or in a HARDCOPY format. Files for both versions are posted below. Since this is the first project of the semester (in my class), I give students the option of using whichever version they prefer. For all other projects, students must use Excel.

Instruction packet only- changes Fall 2015.docxThis is the direction packet to give students if you prefer to use the HARDCOPY version rather than the Excel version of the project. Also give them all of the documents shown below: Raw materials records, supplier price list, labor time records, and job cost record. All other documents are imbedded in this direction packet.
