Learning Objective: Students will use budget assumptions to create and analyze a budget vs actual performance report, including including using if/then statements to determine whether variances are favorable or unfavorable. They will then create a flexible budget performance report that includes volume variances and flexible budget variances. Finally, students will determine whether the variances are consistent with the client's story of what took place during the year.
