Surveys & Data Collection
Completed your unit? Congratulations, tell us how it went!
Your feedback is critical for Cascade Bicycle Club to continue to modify and improve the program. This page holds all of the links and information around data collection.
Please note that the Seattle & Edmonds program evaluation differ slightly from the rest of the statewide programs. Those are noted below.
Teacher Post Program Surveys
Within 1-2 weeks of completing your Let's Go unit, please take 10-15 minutes to complete the Teacher Post Program Survey. Once you have finished the survey, please let your district lead and/or ESD coordinator know you have finished the last task.

Student Exit Tickets
Student voice is central to this project. We appreciate all of your support in gathering their reflections on the unit.
Seattle and Edmonds Districts are not collecting student surveys at this point. All other statewide districts, please follow directions below. There are three options for collecting student reflections
1. Paper Surveys
Print out enough paper surveys for all students. You may pre-fill in school and teacher ahead of time and make copies to save time. Additional languages in this folder.
Distribute writing utensils and surveys to all students.
Read through each question aloud and check for understanding. You may also project questions on a screen.
Encourage students to answer the last two questions with full sentences. This will help with data evaluation.
Place all surveys in a manila folder envelope and send to following address:
Cascade Bicycle Club
Dylan Gschwind

Seattle, WA 98115
2. Electronic Surveys
Coordinate with other teachers/staff to ensure students have access to computers or tablets to complete surveys.
Send Google Form survey or Microsoft Form survey to all students.

Encourage students to answer the last two questions with full sentences. This will help with data evaluation.
3. Poll Students, Count Answers, Report on Teacher Survey
At the end of the unit, ask students to raise their hand or move to indicate answers to the questions below. You can then count, write down the totals, then submit them in your Teacher Post Program Survey.
Ask students to respond to the following questions by raising their hands or moving to different parts of the gym. Count totals.

Helpful Tips
Do a pre/post course for students:
Create a specific course at the start of the program and assess students as they ride. To assess, pick 1-3 specific skills to look for and count number of students in each of the three categories: Emerging, Experienced, Excelling. If it's easier, you can film the course and count afterwards. Or ask a volunteer/ other adult to count.
Do the same course at the end of the program and assess students again, counting them into the E/E/E categories.
Report these numbers in your post-program teacher survey. You only need to report total numbers, not individual student growth.
Set a reminder for the post program survey
Set up an email notification or alarm on your computer/phone to complete the post-program survey within 1-2 weeks after finishing the program.
