We left Shoshone, California, and headed northeast and back into the state of Nevada. We made our first stop at Red Rock Canyon National Park. The red rocks are stunning and it was so great to run there! After some camping, we pushed on. We ran on the outskirts of Las Vegas. It was too big and too busy to run directly through a city that size. Even from miles away we could see the city lights. We stopped for lunch one day in the town of Mesquite, Nevada. It is right on the border of Arizona. After our lunch, we crossed into Arizona. We decided to camp at the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area in Utah, which was our fourth state this week. It is beautiful! We also took another zero-day (AKA: rest day) and chartered a bus to Zion National Park. It was breathtaking! We saw a lot of Mule Deer and Bighorn Sheep there. The most special part of this week was having a Thanksgiving feast at our campsite with the red rock walls behind us. We have a lot to be thankful for! All in all, it was an amazing week. We ran 192 miles and went to some incredible locations in 4 different states (California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah).
