Learning Objectives- The purpose of these classes are to impart information on water safety, skills and to practice techniques to help them improve and prevent drowning incidents from occurring. While every student may be on a different level, each student is encouraged to simply try their best.
Support- We understand that some students may be afraid of the water.
There are many techniques and pieces of equipment we have available to help those just learning to swim. (Life jackets, kick boards)
If this is the case for your student, please reach out to their P.E. Teacher and/or Pool Director so we can plan accordingly.
Supplies- Your student is required to bring the following to their swim classes:
An appropriate bathing suit (girls- one piece, boys- swim trunks)
No clothing or undergarments- Swim specific shirts are allowed (no cotton)
Towel
Hair tie (if necessary)
A bag (to put wet items in)
Goggles (if they prefer to use them- must not cover the nose)
**We have a limited supply of suits, towels, hair ties & bags available for student use if needed.
Anything borrowed (excluding hair ties) will need to be returned promptly to the Pool Director or their P.E. Teacher**
