Positions
Swim Instructor-
Summary: You are responsible for teaching individuals how to swim, from beginners to more advanced swimmers. Duties include designing and leading lessons that cover water safety, swimming techniques, and stroke improvement. Assess each swimmer’s skill level, provide feedback, and adjust lessons to meet individual needs. Ensure a safe learning environment, demonstrate skills and oversee practice in the water. Encourage confidence in the water and track progress to help swimmers achieve their goals. Have strong communication, patience, and swimming knowledge.
Qualifications: Minimum of 15 years old, Current Lifeguard & CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certifications through The American Red Cross, YMCA or equivalent organization, preferred.
Hours: Seasonal Part Time (Spring)
Rate of Pay: $15.50/hr
Lifeguard-
Summary: Ensure the safety of swimmers at the pool. Monitor the water to prevent accidents, identify potential hazards, and enforce safety rules. Be ready to perform rescues in case of emergencies, provide first aid, and administer CPR when necessary. Educate patrons on water safety and maintain equipment, such as rescue devices and first aid kits. Be vigilant, have quick decision-making, and strong swimming skills.
Qualifications: Minimum of 15 years old, Current Lifeguard certification, Current CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certification through American Red Cross, YMCA or equivalent organization
Hours: Part Time
Rate of Pay: $18/hr
Head Lifeguard-
Summary: Oversee the safety and operations of lifeguard teams at aquatic facilities. Duties include supervising, ensuring that safety protocols and procedures are followed, and leading emergency response efforts when needed. Perform regular safety inspections of equipment and the facility, and address any concerns from patrons or staff. Be responsible for maintaining records of incidents and safety checks. Strong leadership, decision-making, and advanced lifesaving skills are essential for the role.
Qualification: Minimum of 15 years old, Current Lifeguard certification, Current CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certification through American Red Cross, YMCA or equivalent organization
Hours: Part Time
Rate of Pay: $20/hr
