GOVERNOR PAGE PROGRAM
North Carolina is the only state to have a Governor Page Program. Established in 1973, the Governor’s Page Program gives high school students from all over North Carolina the opportunity to come to Raleigh for a week of hands-on participation in their state government through touring and listening to a range of speakers such as Supreme Justices and Deputy Commissioners. There will also be an opportunity to meet with the Governor himself.
In addition, students will also be creating their own volunteer project to bring back to their communities. The Page Program represents North Carolina’s diverse communities and help inspire a new generation of leaders.
Each applicant must be a North Carolina high school student in good academic standing between the ages of sixteen and eighteen years old. Pages are selected to serve for a term of four days.
This link includes a more in depth view of the program as well as the application process for students. 2020 dates are now available online. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions, and thank you in advance!
