SAT/ACT

WHEN SHOULD I TAKE THE SAT/ACT?

Students should take their college entrance exam (SAT/ACT) as close to the completion of Math III (Algebra II) and English III as possible.  Even if that means they take it multiple times.

ACT

Most colleges accept either the ACT or the SAT, please check with specific colleges you are applying to for any exceptions.

This means that the free ACT you take as a Junior at Croatan will count as your college entrance exam.

ACT Reports

Students who participate in State testing and receive college-reportable scores on the ACT may view their scores and score report on a free ACT student web account. Scores are available online three to eight weeks after the test date.

Students MUST create an ACT web account.

What are the SAT Subject Tests?

SAT Subject Tests are one-hour exams that test what you've learned in specific classes.  Choose from 20 tests in five different subject areas.
