Thank you for visiting the CHS Scholarship Webpage! Below you will find some scholarships that are offered to graduating students interested in lowering the cost of furthering their education.
Please be sure you complete your FAFSA for federal aid and continue to search for additional scholarship opportunities available. There are thousands of scholarships out there! Take advantage of them!

Women of the Moose
Seniors, are you pursuing a degree in the medical, pharmaceutical, veterinarian, or dental field? If so - then you should apply for this local scholarship.
Application packet must include: Letter of vocational intent, resume, school transcript, college/university acceptance letter, & 3 letters of recommendation.

Seaside Arts Council Scholarship
Please read: The Seaside Arts Council is again offering $2500 scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to pursue one of the arts in college. The student does not have to be majoring in the arts, but must be planning to pursue the arts (music, theater, fine arts, or dance) in some form at the next level.

Mary Conlon Scholarship
The Mary Conlon Scholarship is awarded annually by the Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa. The scholarship, in the amount of $250.00, is awarded to a Craven, Carteret, or Pamlico County high school senior or graduate who is preparing to enter the field of education.

John Tillery Scholarship
1. The choice for consideration will be made in the following order of preference:
a. A member of the John Tillery family.
b. Applicants from members of either First Baptist Church or St. Luke’s Church, the home church of John Tillery.
c. Any applicant currently enrolled in high school who has applied for or has been accepted for admission to an accredited college.
d. Any applicant currently not enrolled in high school, but one who is either currently enrolled in an accredited college or one who has applied for and been accepted for admission to an accredited college.

CC MOAA Scholarship
Four $1,000 Scholarships will be awarded to an immediate family member of a Retired U.S. Uniformed Services personnel living in Carteret, Craven, Jones, Beaufort or Pamlico Counties, or an immediate family member of an Active Duty U.S. Uniformed Services personnel permanently assigned to a command within the ABOVE FIVE (5) county areas. (Deployed Uniformed Service personnel must be permanently assigned to the above five-county area as well.)

Local opportunity - up to $1000!
Must be one of the following:
a, A child or grandchild of a member of the Military Order of
the Purple Heart
b. A child or grandchild of a veteran who was awarded the
Purple Heart

d. A child or grandchild of any member of the Active Duty
Military

Carteret County Democratic Women's Scholarship
Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA (please attach transcript)
Must be accepted to an accredited university or community college. *Seniors must provide a letter of acceptance or a verification of enrollment before the scholarship is awarded.
Must have three letters of reference (2 school, 1 community at large)
Must provide a brief essay highlighting why women should fully and equally participate in all facets of society.
Must be active in community, church, or other civic organizations.

Applicants must be seeking a career in a skilled trade directly related to residential construction.

CC chapter of the Military Officers' Association of America.
$1000 scholarships to dependents of active duty and retired military person.

Eligibility:
An overall minimum weighted GPA of 2.5
Must be a senior student in good standing attending one of the three Carteret County public high schools.
Must be accepted and/or enrolled at an accredited post-secondary school by the 2024/2025 academic year.
Must have completed at least 30 hours of internship with the Olde Beaufort Farmers’ Market
