Drafting Tools
To create paper patterns, drafting tools are required. This is the second step in the pattern-making process. The drafting is done according to the design of a garment based on the measurements acquired. The following tools are used for drafting:

It helps in marking shapes of the neck, armhole and garments bottom. Essential tool for perfect shaping armholes, necklines, and collars.
Pattern/ Manila Paper
Pattern/ Manila Paper
The paper from which body measurements will be draft as patterns. Pattern are traced onto fabric before being cut out and assembled to a garment.
Hip Curve
Hip Curve
It is made of wood or plastic used in shaping the figure of blouse, side of waist and hips in skirt or pants pattern.
Ruler
Ruler
Aids in connecting short lines. It is usually 12 to 18 inches.
