The Pay it Forward Project Scholarship will be offered to Carson High Seniors who are continuing on with their education this year again.  We will follow the same process as last year…and our scholarship application will open on Nov. 1.  Deadline to submit an application is Feb. 1, 2026. Message from the sponsor to help you find the RIGHT scholarship: "I know our system isn’t the greatest for Nevada students because we are El Dorado County, but the Pay it Forward Project scholarship will be available on our website at :  https://eldoradocf.org/scholarship-catalog/  (unfortunately most of the other scholarships on this page are not open to your students…with the exception of the McCaffrey Education Scholarship which is open to any graduating senior in the US). Students will also need to complete a general application and financial statement (both of which are available on our website) and attach/upload them to the online application we have for Pay it Forward Project Scholarship.  Due February 1, 2026.

Seeliger Scholarship This is open to graduating CHS Seniors who attended Seeliger Elementary for a bulk of their elementary years and who plan to attend the University of Nevada, Reno. Due February 2, 2026. 

OCEA Scholarship  This scholarship is open to students whose parents/guardians are members of Carson City School District's Certified Teacher's Union OCEA (this is teachers, counselors, etc.) Due February 13, 2026.

Lori Clish Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is open to graduating CHS Seniors who have been raised by a single parent.  Extra points are added for students planning to pursue a career in the arts field, but this is not a full requirement.  Due February 13, 2026.

**Jiffy Lube What Drives You? This scholarship is open to graduating Northern Nevada Seniors who plan to attend college in the fall and who complete an essay with the prompt, "What Drives You?" This essay links perfectly with the essay outline CHS teaches! Just add those words in an appropriate place!  Finalists will also have to make a short video on this prompt. Due March 9, 2025. 

John & Grace Nauman Foundation This scholarship is open to graduating CHS Seniors who are planning to attend the University of Nevada, Reno.  The application must be turned into the counseling office, and if you are a finalist, you will be asked to attend a mandatory interview. This scholarship is worth $5,000/year for all 4 years.  DUE TO COUNSELING March 1, 2026. 

PEO X  This scholarship is open to all female CHS Students. Due March 10, 2026

Robert & Anne Keast This scholarship is open to female CHS students with a 2.5 GPA or higher who have financial need and plan to attend college in the fall.  Due March 17, 2026. 

**Local Elk's Club Scholarship This scholarship is open to CHS seniors whose parent/guardian/grandparent/family member is an active member of the local Elk's Club.  Due March 20, 2026. 

Jake Sullivan Roman Memorial Scholarship Jake graduated from CHS in 2017 and was pursuing a degree at UNR when his life was cut short. Jake was hardworking, loving, and kind to everyone, so this scholarship, in his memory, is awarded to a CHS senior who is much like Jake- active in extracurricular activities and planning to attend college or University in Nevada. Due March 20, 2026. 

Chartwells Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to CHS Seniors who plan to pursue a career in food, culinary or baking, nutrition, agricultural sciences or other food related fields.  Due March 20, 2026. 

Carson Host Lions Club This scholarship is open to graduating CHS Seniors who plan to attend community college or trade school. Requires two letters of rec.  Due March 20, 2026. 

Elks Club Scholarship This scholarship is open to graduating seniors who are a child or grandchild (includes step, foster, etc) of an active Carson City Elks 2177 member.

Timmy Jones & HOSA Scholarship This scholarship is in honor Timmy Jones a beloved CHS Student who was taken too early. It is open to all students interesting in pursuing a trade, and the second scholarship is open to CHS HOSA participants.  Due March 26, 2026. 

NAHAS Scholarship Available to graduating seniors who are planning on attending UNR, participate in community service and sports. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5  Due March 27, 2026

Holiday with a Hero Scholarship  The Holiday with a Hero  Scholarship is open to any Carson City School District senior who was a participant in the Holiday with a Hero program, is identified as McKinney Vento OR demonstrates significant financial need.  Due March 31, 2026.

Carson/Douglas Farm Bureau This scholarship is open to seniors planning to pursue an ag- related field (food science, agricultural sciences, vet science, welding, etc.) Requires three letters of rec. Due April 1, 2026. 

Pony Express Scholarship This scholarship is for graduating seniors who are planning on entering the medical or forestry field. Due April 15, 2026
